Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Program A Big Success!  A Message from Marlene Cavaiola…

“Thanks to our church family helping to fill boxes to provide joy to a child. A total of 136 boxes were dropped off  Sunday by two UMW elves. Each year locations of where boxes are sent change. A child may only receive one box during their young years as locations of and in countries change each year. It is our understanding that this year children of native American Indians on reservations and Alaskan natives will be receiving Christmas boxes. Samaritan’s Operations Christmas Child is a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization providing spiritual and physical aid to people around the world. For more information on Samaritan’s Purse visit the website.  There are two groups going to the final operation point near Baltimore, MD where we finalize checking/packing all boxes to head for designated countries. If you are interested in either dates/time slots on Wednesday, December 6, 1-6 PM OR Friday, December 8, 1-6 PM, call the church office ASAP as we will be releasing any unused slots on December 1.

God Bless you and thank you for your help.”

And So Was the Craft Show!  A Message from the Master’s Crafters…

“The Master’s Crafters would like to thank the congregation for your support of our Craft Show/Sale.  It was a HUGE success.  We will now begin the happy task of compiling a “wish list” from the various groups within the Church.  All items that we purchase are not included in the Church’s budget  yet will benefit the the congregation or function of SUMC.  We are happy that we can help.

Special thanks to Dick Cavaiola, Larry Harbour and Jay Mickelwait for cutting out our wood projects for us!

The ”elves” are now on break but will start up again in January.  We welcome all to join us on Wednesday evenings in Room 107 from 7:00 PM.-9:00 PM.  We have a great deal of fun and great fellowship.

Again, many thanks for your support!”
