Sterling UMC Players to Perform You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown!

The Sterling United Methodist Church Players will present the musical “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” on March 2, 3, and 4 at the church.

Tickets will go on sale this Sunday for the Friday March 2 performance at 7 PM; the Saturday, March 3 performance at 7 PM; and the Sunday, March 4 matinee performance at 2 PM.  Tickets are $8 for adults ($9 at the door); $6 kids under 12 ($7 at the door); kids under 3 are free.

The SUMC Player’s performance is an adaptation of the 1967 musical “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown”, based on the Charles Shultz Peanuts characters with the book, music, and lyrics by Clark M. Gesner.   The original premiered off- Broadway in 1967 and ran until 1971 after a short stint on-Broadway.  It has been revived both on and off Broadway since then.
