SCHOLARSHIPS SUMC has funds available for scholarships. Scholarship applications will be available at the church office, on the table by the Tree of Life at the church, or online beginning in March. This is a merit-based scholarship open to all High School seniors and current College students who are SUMC members. You do not need to be attending a Methodist College or going into the ministry/mission field to apply. All applications must be returned to the church office by May 3, 2013. Our church has many deserving applicants and we are pleased that we can offer some financial assistance.

COLLEGE CARE PACKAGES We would like to keep in touch with all our college students. Please submit the name and address of students to be included in our 'care package' ministry to secretary@sterlingumc.org or call the office at 703 430-6455. If your student's changes addresses or graduates in December, please notify the church office. Twice a year (April and November) we send out boxes full of goodies donated by the congregation. These packages are sent to arrive just before exam time to let them know we are thinking of them and to give them a little extra energy! GRADUATES
If you graduated in the fall of 2012 (for college/technical school) or will in 2013, please let us know. We don't want to leave anyone out when we recognize the accomplishments of these students who have reached such an important milestone.
We will recognize these special people on June 2nd (Graduation Sunday) at the 9:30 a.m. Worship Service. Please submit the Graduate's Name, Name of School Graduating From, Degree/Field of Study, Graduation Date, plans following graduation, and if you can join us for the June 2nd 9:30 am service by May 24, 2013 so no one is left out.
