Join Us at Sterling UMC in 2018!

Happy New Year from all of us at Sterling UMC!  We are very excited about the new year and our opportunities to serve the Lord and our community!

Please plan to join us in 2018 and experience the joy of Jesus Christ in our worship, our serving others, and our Christian development!

This past Sunday a new sermon series began based on the book Unbeaten: How Biblical heroes rose above their pain…and you can too; and the quote, “pain is inevitable, but defeat is not.”  This sermon series will continue for the next six Sundays.

Also, during our Growing Deeper at Ten hour, our Into the Word adult Bible study will begin a short disciple study of the Psalms beginning January 14.

On Sunday January 21 we will continue our 11 AM service Pizza Sunday!  Join us for worship at 11 AM and after worship come enjoy lunch with pizza, salad, and drinks.  It’s a great opportunity to share a few moments with friends and meet new ones!

Also coming up this month are two opportunities to Serve:

Saturday January 13 is GRACE Ministries.  Set up for the Saturday distribution will begin Friday afternoon at 4 PM.  To assist with distribution on Saturday morning you can come to the church at 7 AM.  For questions email Jeff Bradley at

On Sunday January 14 we will be packing for Backpack Buddies during the Growing Deeper at Ten hour.  Donations of items such as individual canned meals, fruit cups, juice boxes, milk boxes, individual cereal packets, and individual snacks like granola bars or crackers are being accepted now and can be left at the donation center in the Narthex (lobby).  For questions about our Backpack Buddy program please email Dawn Crowson at

Please follow us this year for more information!

Sterling UMC is a community church and all are welcome to visit and attend our services and support our mission efforts.
