Meet Pastor Duncan

Welcome to Sterling United Methodist Church. Robin, my wife, and our three sons, Robbie, Ricky, and Ryan, are privileged to be a part of the SUMC family. We continue to be impressed with the variety of wonderful ministries and programs. At SUMC you will experience the warmth and hospitality of gracious church members and excellent staff. Our church has a rich history and a great heritage. It has been served by many outstanding pastors and has been blessed with strong lay leadership. We are thankful to now be part of this heritage.

Even more important than our heritage are our dreams. God has much work yet to do in Sterling UMC before he is done. What do we want to see Sterling UMC become in the years ahead? Since God's dreams are always greater than our faith, I encourage all of us to pray for our church and our vision of the future. We might be surprised at what God has in store for his church. As Paul wrote, "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him."

Each time I officiate at a wedding ceremony and hear the vows declared I mentally renew the same vows I made to Robin nearly twenty years ago. So as we dream together, I encourage each of you to renew your commitment to the membership vows you made when joining this church, to support Sterling UMC with your prayers, your presence, your gifts, and your service. Let's join together with God in dreaming of everything he wants Sterling United Methodist Church to be.

Together in Ministry,

Pastor Randy Duncan
