Little Angels Choir is for children Kindergarten through 2nd grade. This 30-minute choir offers a little bit of everything for our youngest musicians. They spend some time learning new songs to sing about God’s love for them and all creation. They play various instruments as they learn ways to move their bodies that God so lovingly created just for them. The children also learn to ring tone chimes and learn how to handle many instruments in an appropriate manner. Our chimes are lighter than handbells and far more durable. By the end of the year, the children will begin to understand basic note reading. Most of all, this music time gives the children a chance to learn how to worship God and make music – two things that are vital to small children’s growth. The Little Angels choir meets at 12:30 PM on Sunday afternoons and is directed by Stephanie Perhach. Contact:
Children’s Choir is a choir for our 3rd through 5th graders. The children need to be able to read the words to music and are given the opportunity to learn more about the “musical map”. They learn that when we sing to God, we give not just our voices, but our enthusiasm for all that God has given to us. This choir has the opportunity to attend a choir festival every other year with many area churches. They will also offer a Christmas musical to our congregation. The Children’s Choir meets at 1:00 PM on Sunday afternoons and is directed by Stephanie Perhach. Contact:
Children’s Bell Choirs
Chancel Chimes Choir is for children who have learned the basic concept of note reading and are now able to read music well enough to play their own part. With guidance, the children will learn to play songs with one to two chimes each. Choir meets at 1:00 PM on Sunday afternoons and is directed by Brietta Miller. Contact:
Joyful Noise Ringers have mastered the basics and will begin to play harder songs. This includes learning new techniques beyond basic bell ringing. They learn enough songs to go to a spring festival with many other area handbell choirs. Joyful Noise Ringers meet at 2:00 PM on Sunday afternoons and is directed by Brietta Miller. Contact:
