Sterling United Methodist Church is a church family.  We are united by bonds of faith and friendship. Throughout the year we provide opportunities for our family to come together in ways both big and small to celebrate one another through fun, fellowship, shared meals, and laughter.  There is always an extra seat at the table.  Join us!

Whether it be the Easter Carnival and Egg Hunt, the church picnic, Trunk ‘r Treat, Taco Breakfast, our pre-Thanksgiving Dinner, our Pizza Sundays, or our weekly Coffee & Conversation during our Growing Deeper at Ten hour, these are times we can have fun, learn more about each other, and build stronger relationships.

Opportunities to Serve in Fellowship

Coffee Fellowship

Coffee fellowship volunteers set up a light snack of pre-purchased and home-baked goodies, along with beverages, for churchgoers to enjoy between services while fellowshipping with their church family. There are also volunteers to replenish the goodies and drinks between the services and to clean up after the start of the 11:00 AM service. There is always room for another volunteer.

Wednesday Fellowship Meal

Wednesday evenings are an active time for our church.  A time of fellowship begins a 6 PM with a meal catered by a local restaurant that can be purchased by participants.  Fellowship volunteers will assist with the setup, serving, and cleanup for our Wednesday meal before going off to Bible studies, music programs, and crafting.  There is a cost that varies weekly based on the restaurant catering that week.  To find out more information or to RSVP for this week’s Fellowship Meal here.

Pizza Fellowship

Each month on the third Sunday of the month following the 11 AM service a meal of pizza and salad is served for all who want to attend.  Activities like Bible trivia may also be part of a great time of fellowship for family and friends.  Volunteers assist with set up and clean up of the lunch.

Master’s Crafters

Our Master’s Crafters group does crafting projects throughout the year, and hosts a large holiday craft fair in November. Proceeds from the craft fair support unbudgeted projects and needs of the church. The Master’s Crafters meet on Wednesday afternoons from 1 – 3 PM and Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM in room 107.  All are welcome, no special skills required.
