The youth musical has been a long standing and beloved tradition of Sterling UMC. Over the years, we have produced 14 musicals with casts and crews of youth from the church and surrounding community. This year, we are excited to announce musical number 15 – Godspell!

About this production, one of our co-directors Sharon Rosenfeld says, “We’re taking it back to the beginning with this year’s production, yet it will be anything but a rerun. Godspell has been the beginning of many magical things for SUMC, and I believe this year will be no different.”

Godspell follows the story of Jesus Christ as he forms a community of lovable disciples, who teach lessons through songs and skits under His direction. It is a high energy, hilarious performance that is sure to be enjoyed by all ages.

The performance is co-directed by Sharon Rosenfeld and Andy Vest, featuring a cast of local youth ranging from 6th to 12th grade. Music direction is by Willis Rosenfeld and Technical Direction by Matthew Pepper.

Tickets are now on sale for all four performances: Friday, March 1 at 7 PM; Saturday, March 2 at 2 PM and 7 PM; and Sunday, March 3 at 2 PM.  Tickets are $9 for adults ($10 at the door); $7 kids under 12 ($8 at the door); and kids under 3 receive a free ticket. Purchase your tickets now or in the lobby at Sterling UMC every Sunday starting at 8:45 a.m.
